I bought the TUNER D "leather" trim kit and seat covers. The owner was like "hmmm." He said the quality of the leather was top notch but questioned whether it would stretch and go around the tight curves of the Door skin up at the front of the door where the black plastic grill is and back behind the seat. He said if I bring it all up to him in pieces off the car, he would install all of the trim kit and seat skins for $700. I dont know if this is a fair price or not and he said he can not be sure it will work around the tight curves of the interior in two spots. (ie-around the back of the seats where the tweed is and the front of the doors.) This guy has been in business a long time (25+ yrs)and I know of several people that have had work done and been very pleased. He said the leather does not stretch like the tweed or other fabrics and that is why it is questionable. Anybody have the leather trim kit and did you have any issues installing it? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
